The Financial Services reform act requires that a moving company arranging insurance must have all the appropriate licenses and qualifications so check to make sure that the removalist you've chosen has these if they are offering insurance.

The more informed you are, the more likely you will be able to make the right choices when choosing insurance for your relocation. Most importantly though, don't undervalue your goods when listing their replacement costs as you will end up out of pocket should you need to make a claim.
